Hunter Allen and Peaks Coaching Group Partners with CEO Challenges

George Hincapie
Legendary cycling coach and author, Hunter Allen is teaming up with CEO Challenges to bring power training demonstrations and education to the November 2012 CEO Challenges Camps featuring George Hincapie. “Power training is the ultimate tool of training efficiency and that is why every busy CEO should be training with power” States Hunter Allen, CEO / Founder of Peaks Coaching Group and co-author of “Training and Racing with a Power Meter”. “For riders that have busy lives and hectic schedules, knowing that every moment you are on the bike you are maximizing your efforts is crucial to building fitness. How many times have you heard the term “junk miles”? Power training can eliminate the junk miles and make the most of the limited time you have to train!”

Hincapie Tour
This will be the fourth year that CEO Challenges has co-hosted a cycling event with Tour de France legend George Hincapie at his home in Greenville, South Carolina. The weekend includes sag supported rides including the famous Bakery Ride, and the highlight is Sunday's 2-mile timed ride up Paris Mtn to identify the best CEO cyclists! Hunter Allen and Quarq will be supplying demo power meters, power training and coaching. Participants have the opportunity to bike the same roads where George does all his serious preparation for the Tour of California, Tour de France, Spring Classics, and the US Pro Championship.

CEO Challenge Paris Mountain Finish

George not only leads all rides, he attends the dinners, gives us a personal tour of Hincapie Sportswear, and is our host for a reception at his home and a high-energy Fashion Show featuring his wife, Melanie.

And on 'race day' George will accompany each person across the finish line at the top of Paris Mountain. At the end of the weekend you will understand why George is the most-liked pro on the tour, as well as one of the toughest.

Hunter Wins Tandem Road Race at Master's Nats

Peaks Coach Hunter Allen and client Debra Preller got top podium spot for the Mixed Tandem (70-90) Team at Master Nationals in Bend Oregon! Congratulations!!

Scott Moninger Wins Steamboat Springs Stage Race!

Peaks Coach Scott Moninger, another Boulder-based rider also on the Horizon Organics/PB Panache team with Pearce, didn’t ride in the breakaway, but did everything required to make an advantage gained on Day 3 stand up.
He won the general classification, finishing 41 seconds ahead of Nathan Wilson and 1:14 ahead of Pearce.
“It was pretty basic strategy. We had a pretty strong team and on a course this flat, the speed can stay pretty high and it’s easier to control breakaways,” Moninger said. “The guys kept the speed up and kept me out of trouble. We got the stage win and kept the overall, so it was a really good day."
